“Open Season,” the animated feature film taking theaters by storm, is now open at the Zoo’s Sprint IMAX® Theatre. “Open Season” features a 900-pound domesticated grizzly bear and a scrawny, one-horned mule deer that end up stranded together in the woods during hunting season.

KC CASH (Creating Assets Savings and Hope) is a coalition established in 2003 by non profits, financial institutions, educational institutions, city, state, and federal government organizations, and the business community. KC CASH offers free preparation of federal and state tax returns to low/moderate-income working families in Kansas City, Missouri and Kansas. During the 2005 filing season, 200 volunteers prepared over 3,800 federal returns and over $4, 068,857 in federal refunds were generated. More good people are needed to help make a difference!
