In a special presentation at a gathering of Kansas City’s Sister Cities organizations, Top Innovations (6655 Troost) owners Benny and Edith Lee were recently recognized by official proclamation of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, for their “many contributions and selfless promotion of Kansas City to the world.” The event was a fund-raiser for this summer’s Sister Cities International Conference, which Kansas City will host for the first time. The city expects the conference to attract nearly 1,000 delegates from around the world.
As an example of the Lee’s commitment, Top Innovations office was recently the site of a reception for Dr. Jaushieh Joseph Wu, Taiwan Representative to the United States. In his presentation on April 18, Dr. Wu discussed Taiwan’s links to the US and to China, and what the future holds for these relationships. The reception was co-sponsored by the Taipei Economic & Cultural Office in Kansas City, the International Relations Council, and the American Taiwan Society.
