For almost 30 years, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as the Executive Director at the Southtown Planning Center, working with each and everyone of you. There have been many changes, challenges, and accomplishments over the years. This has happened because of the many committed board members, volunteers, and community stakeholders taking time to attend events, network with others, patronize the businesses, and getting involved.
At this point, I truly believe the organizations are in great shape with outstanding staff, steady income sources, established procedures for managing the many events– a well-oiled machine. I know you will all welcome my replacement which should be announced by the next newsletter.
I begin my next (and hopefully last) career in Lincoln, NE with NeighborWorks on October 1st. This move is also an opportunity to live closer to our daughter’s family that includes two grandchildren! We have many friends and family members in the KC area so I will be back, checking on everything!
Thank you all so very much for all your support, commitment and participation. I will miss Southtown, Waldo, and Brookside– all great places to live, work, and do business.
