Great news! Research Medical Center Brookside partnered with Ripple Glass to host a new area glass recycling bin. The bin is located at the Brookside Campus, parking lot C at 6675 Holmes Road.
Everyone can bring their used bottles and jars to the purple bin to be recycled. A full list of accepted glass is available at RippleGlass.com. With over 500 tons of glass (or about 375,000 bottles) recycled from the area in 2017, Ripple Glass anticipates the new purple recycling bin to be a busy one.
Sean Ackerson, executive director, Southtown Council, and district manager, Brookside and Troost Avenue Community Improvement Districts, said "Our community takes great pride in recycling. The new public recycling bin is so accessible and convenient and helps meet an overwhelming demand for glass recycling. We really appreciate great community partners like Research Medical Center and Ripple Glass for making the location available."
