The Colonial Shops Sparkle!

This month, the Southtown Beautification Committee selected The Colonial Shops, 300-320 E. 51st St. as the Sparkle recipient. The buildings were constructed in 1951 and currently are home to Pride Cleaners, Subway Real Estate Corp., Kin Lin Restaurant, Muddy's, and a vacant space previously home to Russell Stover Candy. In 2007, the UMKC Trustees purchased the Colonial Shops to assist in funding scholarships for UMKC.
